Job Description

We are seeking a Patient Access Registrar Lead to join our clinical team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth patient experience and accurate registration processes during overnight hours. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while accurately collecting and verifying patient information.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients arriving at the Emergency Department.
• Collect personal and demographic information, verify insurance coverage, and process payments.
• Enter patient data into Cerner and EPIC systems with a high level of accuracy.
• Ensure financial clearance and insurance verification prior to patient care.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Provide general customer service and assist patients through the registration process.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of patient access/front desk registration experience in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with EMR systems (currently using Cerner, transitioning to EPIC – EPIC experience is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• HS Diploma or equivalent 

Details: 

• Direct Placement, permanent position
• Schedule: Monday – Friday | 11:00pm – 7:30am (3rd shift)
• Will have to work every 3rd weekend and rotating Holidays as this is a 24/7 operation
• Parking: Offsite parking available for $100/month.

This is a Permanent position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr.
