  • Location: North Dallas, TX 75230\n
  • Unit: 8S Oncology, South Tower, Floor 8S\n
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing\n
  • Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)\n
  • Hours per Week: 36\n
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1260 - $1350 per week\n
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3/4, flexing up to 1:5 as needed\n
  • Rotating weekends, no on-call required \n
  • Scrub Color: Royal blue\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas\n
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent oncology nursing experience\n
  • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred\n
  • Chemo certification and hematology/oncology background preferred\n
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and patient-focused personality\n
\n\nOncology RN Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a 21-bed inpatient unit (current census 8-12)\n
  • Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and electrolyte replacements; monitor patient responses\n
  • Implement neutropenic precautions and strict infection control protocols\n
  • Perform CHG baths and linen changes every 24 hours, dressing changes every 7 days, and line/cap changes every 96 hours\n
  • Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR\n
  • Float to hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant units as needed\n
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, RNs, and PCTs\n
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families\n
