As a Monitor Technician , you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care by performing accurate EKG rhythm interpretation and supporting our interprofessional healthcare team.

Your Responsibilities

As a Monitor Technician, you will:

• Foster a Positive Work Environment: Collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal results and communicate effectively to resolve issues.
• Provide Direct Patient Care: Prepare patients for monitoring and assist with their needs.
• Ensure Quality and Safety: Monitor EKG rhythms, identify abnormalities, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Utilize Resources Wisely: Manage your time effectively and assist coworkers to enhance overall productivity.
• Engage in Growth and Innovation: Participate in department projects and seek opportunities for self-development.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: EKG interpretation skills and prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • CCT, CET, ECG, or other relevant certification within 1 year.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.

Essential Skills

You should also possess:

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to maintain a customer service focus.
• Proficiency in using monitoring equipment and technology.

Working Conditions

As a Monitor Technician, you will:

• Wear scrubs as part of your uniform.
• Be prepared for potential on-call duties during emergencies.
• Not require travel outside the Houston Metropolitan area.
