Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description The role involves cleaning various floors of the plant, requiring comfort with heights as it includes walking up and down several flights of steps throughout the shift. Responsibilities also include shoveling feed and processed soy beans that have fallen out of machines, loading trucks and rail cars with feed, and rotating between cleaning, shoveling, and production roles including machine operation.
Responsibilities - Clean various floors of the plant, including staircases.

- Rotate between cleaning, shoveling, production roles, and machine operation.
Essential Skills - 1+ year of production experience.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
- Comfort with heights and physical labor.

Work Environment The work environment can be dusty due to powdered products, and temperatures vary with seasons. It is somewhat dark, with strong smells in certain areas. Attire includes casual wear such as jeans and long sleeves, with steel-toed boots, eye protection, ear protection, and gloves required. Candidates must be available for rotational shifts including 3rd, 2nd, and 1st shifts, with opportunities to bid for preferred shifts once direct. Initial onboarding is from 8AM-4PM, followed by training shifts from 7AM-3:30PM, Monday to Friday.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
