About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Capacity Planning and Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and analysts to support the management of the shelter portfolio. This includes overseeing project management activities related to shelter openings, developing strong working relationships with various stakeholders, and ensuring that capacity is available to meet the agency's needs. The role also involves leading high-level meetings, providing expertise on shelter budgets, and administering the contracting process for all shelter contracts. The Executive Director will be expected to lead special projects, manage ad hoc initiatives, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a master's degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of professional experience, or a bachelor's degree and 4 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 18 months in an executive, managerial, administrative, or supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of homelessness in the city, the procurement process, and advanced experience in Excel. Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills are essential. The role requires the ability to implement and track long-term projects, meet multiple deadlines, and manage various projects independently. Experience in financial analysis and reading legal documents is also preferred.
