Yard Shuttle Driver

Full-time Position Type: Permanent Shift: Day Shift

Job Description

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Position requires using a yard truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas
• It requires being able to physically climb in and out of the yard truck numerous times during a scheduled shift
• It requires work performed outside and therefore requires working in hot and cold temperatures
• The position also involves completion of paperwork as well as frequent communication using a two-way radio to communicate with management team members
• The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.
• The Team Member can work anywhere from 8 hours to 12 hours daily and some Saturdays during busy season
• Assist in the department as needed
• Break down trailers with various steel material
• Drive Water Truck
• Must be flexible with hours needed to work Essential Functions

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
• Crane and Forklift Skills preferred
• This position requires a valid driver's license. Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi-truck is preferred

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year.
