Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are currently seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist for a travel contract with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This position is based at a respected Cancer and Infusion Center in Berkshire County, MA , and offers the chance to work with a collaborative oncology team in a dynamic clinical environment.

Contract Opportunity: Travel Oncology Pharmacist
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Facility: Berkshire Medical Center
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: MondayFriday, day shifts (approximately 7:00 AM3:30 PM or 8:00 AM4:30 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks (Temp-to-hire potential) Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient therapy for appropriateness, age-specific considerations, and clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events

  • Conduct clinical research and participate in professional development programs

  • Serve as a liaison to other departments within the Cancer and Infusion Center, supporting new treatment regimens and providing education

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of IV admixtures, chemotherapy preparation, and sterile product regulations

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff

  • Maintain and manage medication inventory

  • Assist in the development and revision of departmental and nursing policies

  • Collaborate with the oncology team to standardize chemotherapy ordering procedures

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of acute care clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in oncology

  • Ability to pound and mix chemotherapy agents is required

  • pletion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology is strongly preferred

  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and supervise support personnel

  • Experience with specialty pharmacy medication management

  • Must have access to reliable transportation for local travel needs
