  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days: 7a-7:30p, Nights: 7p-7:30a; rotates every 4 weeks)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,540\n
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Days: Sat/Sun; Nights: Fri/Sat/Sun)\n
\n\nPCU Nurse Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state (required)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit or acute care nursing experience\n
  • BLS certification (AHA required)\n
  • ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred\n
  • Level 1 trauma experience preferred; required if no prior travel nursing experience\n
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for at least 6 months (permanent, per diem, or contract)\n
  • Ability to pass day-one clinical competency testing\n
\n\nPCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities\n

  • Provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-5\n
  • Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other clinical boarding units as needed\n
  • Participate in rotating shifts and float assignments in 4-hour blocks\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective patient care\n
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes\n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations\n
