• Assignment Length: 13 weeks\n
• Start Date: November 24, 2025\n
• End Date: February 23, 2026\n
• Shifts: Day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) and Night (5:00 PM – 8:00 AM, weeknight call)\n
• Call: Weeknight and weekend call required (remote unless on-site presence is medically necessary)\n
• Hours per Week: 40\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,830 - $1,970\n
• Patient Population: Adults with advanced heart failure and ventricular assist devices\n

\n\nICU RN Qualifications\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience (CVICU or cardiac ICU preferred)\n
• Active DC Registered Nurse license (pending status accepted at submission; must be active by start date)\n
• BLS certification required\n
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience required; VAD certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 18 months\n
• Travel nursing experience required\n
• Experience with Cerner EMR charting system preferred\n
• Two supervisor references required\n
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)\n

\n\nICU RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Coordinate and monitor care for patients with ventricular assist devices during procedures and operations\n
• Provide patient and family education on VAD management in accordance with regulatory standards\n
• Collaborate with Materials Management and Equipment Technicians to maintain device inventory and respond to FDA recalls\n
• Participate in on-call rotation for VAD patient management (remote and on-site as needed)\n
• Document care and interventions accurately using Cerner EMR\n
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care\n
