A top international law firm is seeking a Travel Manager to oversee and streamline all domestic and international travel activities for attorneys and business professionals. This role reports to the Director of Travel and plays a key part in ensuring that the firm’s global travel program operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with organizational policies and strategic goals. This role will be hybrid and can sit in NYC or D.C.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all firm travelers, addressing day-to-day travel needs, resolving service issues, and elevating the overall traveler experience.
  • Partner with the Director of Travel to implement key initiatives and support travel requests for firm meetings and events.
  • Manage travel services to ensure policy compliance, operational efficiency, and a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships across the firm globally, collaborating with stakeholders at every level.
  • Create and deliver training for travel arrangers and travelers, including how to use travel tools and policies effectively.
  • Support global project rollouts involving travel technologies, platforms, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain a strong partnership with the firm’s travel management company to support shared objectives.
  • Oversee travel reporting and analytics, including dashboards, spend tracking, compliance metrics, volume trends, exception reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments and offices worldwide.
  • Assist with additional travel-related projects and work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate travel management in a professional services or law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of global travel operations across air, hotel, and ground transportation programs.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and improving operational processes and procedures.
  • Deep experience managing travel programs within a global organization, with strong understanding of the corporate travel industry and major travel associations (GBTA, ACTE, ISM, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and comfort working with data, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive traveler information.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
