Production/Workroom Staff

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all tasks for custom home furnishings production e.g. materials preparation, design evaluation and consultation, machine set up, quality inspection/control, and quality improvement
• Operate and monitor industrial sewing machines e.g: straight stitch, single needle, over lock & walking foot machines and keep work area clean.

· Complete projects and special assignments by listening with full attention, asking questions, managing time; gaining cooperation of others and problem-solving.

· Constantly look for ways to Improve quality by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes.

· Look for ways to help

Qualifications requested but not required

• Experience with industrial sewing machines preferred but not needed
• Experience in sewing apparel, bedding, or window treatments preferred but not needed
• Possess technical knowledge of various machine adjustments, including needle size, thread tension, stitching density, and speed
• Be able to lift 35 lbs
• Background in customization for finished goods
