Job Description

At Amazon Books, we believe reading is essential for a healthy society; our mission is to inspire readers by making it easy to read more and get more out of reading. We are seeking an experienced Head of Mobile Acquisition to lead mobile growth focusing on Kindle and Goodreads apps.

This role will shape the future of how millions of readers discover and engage with books while driving innovation in marketing technology adoption for paid marketing initiatives. This role will involve regular communication with senior leadership, both through regular review mechanisms and on standalone projects.

A successful candidate in this role will be able to exercise the analytical and creative sides of marketing, can operate independently even in ambiguous situations, and works well with a diverse set of stakeholders. The role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as the candidate should be able to negotiate and influence priorities with multiple partners and stakeholders, and independently handle communications with senior management teams. This role is suited for candidates with prior experience in marketing roles, preferably with online or digital businesses.

Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute the global mobile acquisition strategy for Kindle and Goodreads apps, driving sustainable user growth and engagement across marketplaces
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key mobile acquisition partners (Apple, Google, Amazon Ads, major ad networks)
Lead app store optimization (ASO) and organic growth strategies partnering with internal and external teams fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision making
Own the mobile marketing budget and ROI targets, optimizing spend across channels and geographies
Spearhead the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new marketing technology solutions to enhance Books paid marketing capabilities
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Marketing teams to achieve mobile growth objectives
Establish comprehensive measurement frameworks and attribution models to track and optimize mobile acquisition efforts

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)- Experience using any of SQL or other analytical tools for conducting data analysis
- Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
