The Role: Senior Claims Adjuster
Location: Remote, Bay Area California

The Role

We are seeking a seasoned, empathetic, and technically sound Senior Claims Adjuster to join the team in the Bay Area. This remote, field-based position plays a critical role in evaluating and managing large-scale residential and commercial property losses. Candidates must demonstrate strong investigative and negotiation skills, coupled with deep compassion and professionalism when handling large claims.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and manage large commercial and residential property claims, particularly fire-related losses.
  • Conduct thorough on-site inspections or direct independent adjusters as needed.
  • Establish and maintain accurate loss estimates and reserves.
  • Manage consultants and vendors to ensure reasonable and necessary costs.
  • Negotiate prompt, fair, and equitable settlements in accordance with policy liability and fair claims practices.
  • Communicate empathetically and professionally with clients to maintain trust and confidence throughout the process.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation within electronic claim files.
  • Mentor junior or less experienced team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience handling property loss claims.
  • Proven track record managing large
  • Valid California Drivers License and a personal vehicle.
  • No felony convictions; clean background.
  • High school diploma required; higher education welcomed but not critical.
  • Ability to travel locally for field inspections.
