Quality Engineer – Aerospace & Defense
📍 Onsite | Springboro, OH
A leading aerospace and defense manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive quality initiatives and ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. This is an onsite role requiring experience in quality engineering, with a focus on machining, quality systems implementation, supplier audits, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do:
🔹 Lead internal audits in compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards
🔹 Conduct supplier quality audits to ensure regulatory compliance
🔹 Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues
🔹 Program and operate CMMs to validate part dimensions and tolerances
🔹 Work with balloon prints and technical drawings to ensure inspection accuracy
🔹 Analyze defect data trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
🔹 Provide quality support for machining operations , ensuring product conformance
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Minimum of 3-5 years of quality engineering experience , ideally in aerospace or defense
✅ Strong machining and manufacturing process knowledge
✅ Experience with CMM programming & precision measurement
✅ Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem-solving
✅ Ability to interpret balloon prints and engineering drawings
✅ Experience conducting supplier quality audits and compliance checks
✅ Strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement
✅ ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent) preferred
Education:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) and some certifications such as ISO9001, AS9100, ASQ, and related are preferred
This is a hands-on role based in Springboro, OH , requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers to uphold the highest quality standards.
