This is a 16-bed unit, with 8 of those beds located on a step-down unit.

About the Clinician's Workday
Weekday coverage includes one physician managing the ICU and another covering the floor Monday through Friday. On weekends, a single doctor is on call from Friday at 4 PM through Monday morning and is required to round on both the floor and critical care unit each day. Experience with EBUS and robotic bronchoscopy is highly preferred. Nurse Practitioners support the unit, with a goal of 24/7 coverage, though that is not always consistently achieved.
