Position Overview

Polk Mechanical is currently seeking a highly experienced Plumbing Superintendent to lead and manage plumbing operations across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects in the Houston area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise plumbing work on projects ranging from basic commercial installations to large-scale, multi-system builds
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple foremen and field crews
  • Interpret and enforce project specifications, blueprints, and plumbing codes
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and assist in administering the company’s safety program
  • Maintain a safe and productive work environment across all job sites
  • Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and progress to meet deadlines
  • Serve as a liaison between field operations, project management, and clients
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of verifiable experience in the plumbing trade, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and medical gas
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting plumbing blueprints and specifications
  • Familiarity with other major craft disciplines and coordination practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs., working in awkward positions, exposure to weather and job site hazards)
  • Must have a valid driver's license
