Mt Washington Auto Road Co. is hiring a year-round part-time Custodian to work early in the mornings or evenings. Candidates should be dependable, motivated, possess good work ethics and must be willing to work Monday and Tuesday. The following functions are considered essential to this position:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition
- Performs routine maintenance activities
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
- Gathers and empties trash.
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
- Dusts furniture, walls, and equipment.
- Shampoos or steam-cleans carpets and rugs
- Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions.
- Ability to interact with staff, and visitors at the Company while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
