Palliative Care - Physician at IU Health Medical Group - Indiana University Health summary:

A Pediatric Palliative Care physician provides compassionate care to children in inpatient, outpatient, and home settings, focusing on improving quality of life and supporting families. The role involves working within an interdisciplinary team and includes academic responsibilities such as training medical students and fellows. Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care, with clinical and educational duties primarily based in Indiana.

Nationally ranked Riley Children's Health is seeking a Pediatric Palliative Care physician todeliver compassionate care across the continuum in the inpatient, outpatient, and home settings for Indiana children and families.

Job Summary:interdisciplinary consult-based medical team of physicians, advanced-practice providers, nurses, and social workers who are dedicated to the mission of helping patients achieve quality of life, and providing support/resources to families

  • Well-supported program with ample inpatient and outpatient clinical opportunitiesin a culture embracing the role of palliative care
  • Highly skilledPediatric Palliative Care team that honors the spirit of compassion, empathy, patience and presence as key interventions.
  • Clinician Educator Faculty appointment with Indiana University School of Medicine; participation in medical student, resident, and palliative care fellow training
  • Approximately 75% inpatient, 25% outpatient and academic/admin
  • Call shared equally among providers

Qualifications

  • Completion of Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship
  • BC in Pediatrics and BC/BE in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine
  • New graduates and experienced providers are encouraged to apply
  • Physician MD/DO licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure
