Operations Management Consultant (USA based only) Join to apply for the Operations Management Consultant (USA based only) role at POWERS . This is a project-based position, with projects across the United States lasting between 2-26 weeks. Availability to travel Sundays through Fridays is required. As an Operations Management Consultant with The Powers Company, you will work across various industries including manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and support functions such as Maintenance, Planning & Scheduling, and Quality. Your role involves equipping managers and supervisors with tools, controls, and behaviors to fully manage operations. You should be proactive, disciplined, and eager to learn. You will collaborate closely with client teams to drive behavior change, develop leadership, and enhance employee engagement to optimize performance. Your responsibilities include leading, coaching, and developing client staff through change management, process understanding, barrier identification, and problem-solving training aimed at measurable improvements. You will influence results through the client's leadership team without direct authority. Strong problem-solving, communication, and trust-building skills are essential. You will work under the guidance of a Project Manager, balancing learning and initiative with the ability to execute a results-driven schedule. Interpersonal skills to gain partnership and ownership are critical for success. Required Experience: Management or leadership responsibilities Time Studies Value Stream Mapping Waste analysis and quantification Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience presenting to management levels Mechanical inclination and experience in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Ability to analyze live processes and data Additional Skills (a plus): P&L understanding Training development and facilitation Capacity Planning Public Speaking Organizational Behavior Taskforce leadership Kaizen and LSS certifications Industrial maintenance programs Travel required (Sunday to Friday).
