We’re seeking a Maintenance and Landscaping Technician to join our team at the Tarpley Campus. This role is essential in ensuring our grounds and facilities remain safe, clean, and inviting for all who visit. Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and enhance landscapes and outdoor areas to create safe, functional, and attractive spaces throughout the Tarpley property.
• Perform all aspects of lawn and garden care, including planting turf, trees, shrubs, and flowers according to proper depth and layout.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning fertilizing and watering.
• Safely operate and maintain lawn and landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs for Tarpley facilities, including drywall, flooring, doors, ceiling tiles, and furniture.
• Conduct basic electrical repairs, including light fixtures, switches, outlets, and breaker panels.
• Assist with set-up and tear-down for Tarpley campus events and gatherings.
• Ensure all work areas and storage spaces are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the ministry and its objectives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous knowledge of ground maintenance
• ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive, team- oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Schedule may vary according to business needs.
