Job Description

Our client, a leader in the textile industry, is seeking a Machine Operator - Sewing to join their team. As a Machine Operator - Sewing, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator - Sewing

Location: West Coxsackie, NY

Pay Range: $21.00/hr + Overtime

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Assemble panels and borders per established work instructions utilizing a variety of sewing machines.
• Sew borders to panel cloth, producing mattress and box spring borders and covers.
• Perform minor maintenance on machines as needed including re-threading and replacing needles.
• Maintain workstation in a neat and clean orderly fashion.
• Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, or panels as needed.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• High School graduate or Equivalent GED.
• Prior sewing experience in the sewing/textile industry utilizing related machines.
• Ability to read/use a ruler, add/subtract, and calculate fractions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
