Job Description
Janadhi and Company LLC is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to support and execute low voltage cabling projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structured cabling, solid fiber optic skills, excellent documentation abilities, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber).
Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools (OTDR, power meter, etc.).
Pull, route, dress, and secure low voltage cabling following best practices and standards.
Build out telecommunication rooms including racks, cable trays, patch panels, and labeling.
Read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, floor plans, and specifications.
Use Bluebeam for reviewing plans, markups, and project documentation.
Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, including daily reports, as-builts, labeling, and material usage.
Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements; proper use of PPE.
Communicate professionally with project managers, clients, and team members.
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory needed for job completion.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of low voltage cabling experience .
Strong experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting .
Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, and technical documents.
Must have OSHA 10 certification .
Must be proficient with Bluebeam .
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to ~50 lbs, work on ladders, lifts, and in confined or elevated spaces.
Preferred (Not Required):
BICSI or FOA certifications.
Experience working in data centers, commercial buildings, and industrial environments.
Experience working with access control, CCTV, and networking hardware is a plus.
