LanceSoft is seeking a local contract nurse RN Behavioral Health for a local contract nursing job in Richmond, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Behavioral Health
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 52 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, rotating
• Employment Type: Local Contract

Shift: Full Time + Days & Nights Available (Rotating weekends) 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for behavioral health patients
• Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects
• De-escalate crisis situations using trauma-informed and therapeutic techniques
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support patient recovery goals through education and emotional support

Requirements:

• Active RN license & will LTAC candidates in Behavioral Health
• BLS certification required; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention preferred
• 1+ year psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, assessment, and crisis management skills
