We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Morse Correctional Healthcare at the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview, FL. • Works with the psychiatrist, Director of Behavioral Health, and the behavioral health team to provide on-site mental health services to inmate patients
• Provide mental health assessments and develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
• Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals within the criminal justice system
• Assessing patients with suicidal ideations
• Collaborating with custody staff for recommendations on housing and treatment plans
• Performing Baker Act assessments
• Group therapy in regards to those entering a MAT/MOUD program
• Discharge planning and community support

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or related degree
• Active and unrestricted license in the state of Florida
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• This is a salaried position
• This position requires split call
