A well-established law firm is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant with 3–5 years of experience to support attorneys in the Medical Malpractice department. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:
Perform secretarial and clerical duties in support of assigned attorneys
Open and distribute mail; log attorney time as needed
Enter daily attorney time sheets into the system
Answer and route phone calls, provide non-legal information when appropriate, and take detailed messages
Transcribe dictation using BigHand; draft correspondence for attorney review; prepare legal documents as requested
Maintain case files and assist with filing; coordinate with file clerks as needed
Schedule depositions, meetings, and appointments
Occasionally deliver or pick up documents at the courthouse or other legal offices during urgent situations
Coordinate attorney travel arrangements and hotel accommodations
Maintain attorney calendar/diary system
Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
3–5 years of defense litigation experience; casualty and/or healthcare experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills with clients, attorneys, and staff
Excellent organization, typing, and multitasking skills
High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
