Job Description
The Kitchen Shift Leader has the responsibility in directing the daily operations of a quick service restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operations, including production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, financial accountability, ensuring the highest quality products and services are delivered to our customers and other duties as required. The person applying for this position must have excellent communication skills. Previous management experience is a must. You must be a minimum age of 18+ years old for this job.
Kitchen Shift Leader Requirements & Responsibilities We are looking for applicants who exhibit the following qualities: * Consistency and Reliability * Servant Leadership * Values Teamwork * Enjoys developing others * Understanding of kitchen operations Applicants must be able to: Work in a fast pace Environment Work Quickly and Efficiently Follow Restaurant Safety and Cleanliness Guidelines Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time. Prior kitchen experience is required. Qualifications • Must be at least 18 years of age upon hire date • Saturday availability is required for all team members (typical schedule includes 1-3 Saturdays/month depending on availability and needs of the business) Responsibilities • The Shift Leader may be responsible for opening, closing, or working any shifts between such but is ultimately the driver of the shift to ensure the best possible guest experience • A Shift leader coaches, encourages, holds accountabilities, communicates goals and performance in regards to such goals, and helps breed a culture of positivity and high-performance • Shift leaders have responsibilities for the restaurant's operations, including but not limited to: opening/closing the restaurant, specific continuous improvement projects within the restaurant, overseeing team members' performance and holding the team accountable for results, identifying where "bottlenecks" exist and reassigning team members to increase flow and heighten the guest experience, etc. • Lead with an attitude of integrity, humility, and service, one of empowering others and working for the best interest of the team members and guests • Be a leader and driver of Chick-fil-A’s Business Vision and Strategy • Ensure a top-of-mind mentality for Our Purpose “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us” and “To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.”• Know our Operating System: an organizing framework that connects how we think, plan, and act to direct the entire business • Always leave your area, and the restaurant as a whole, better than you found it and require others to do the same remembering – and reminding others when necessary – that we are a team • Combine critical thinking and practical leadership to create a culture of innovations • Contribute to the team environment within our leadership structure: problem solve, contribute to the group, and invest in the overall success of our business • Always think of ways to reach the next level having the “We’re good but what can we do to be great?” mindset, teaching others within the restaurant to think the same way via coaching conversations • Enthusiastically and passionately lead the team.
