Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr A globally renowned high-performance materials manufacturer and sustainability leader is urgently seeking aa reliable, detail-oriented professional to support executive-level communication as a Japanese / English Interpreter & Translator at their office near Leonia, NJ. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in professional interpretation and translation, with the confidence to perform in fast-paced, high-level environments. This is a full-time, exempt position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO and 401(k). The role also requires up to 20% travel, both domestic and international, including overnight stays. Responsibilities: Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during high-level meetings involving the President, CFO, and VP-level executives. Support the President with accurate and timely interpretation in both formal and informal settings. Translate business and financial documents to ensure clear communication across languages. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive executive communications and discussions. Travel domestically and internationally (~20%) to accompany the President and provide interpretation services as needed. Collaborate closely with executive staff to understand and convey nuanced business and financial terminology. Attend daily onsite meetings in Teaneck, with flexibility to adjust schedule based on the President’s travel and interpreter needs. Requirements: Bilingual Fluency in Japanese and English (Read, Write, and Speak). Proven experience as an Japanese - English bilingual interpreter / translator, ideally in a corporate or executive environment. Strong understanding of business and financial terminology and concepts. Bachelor's degree in international business, management, or other related field of study. Ability to perform both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation with high accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English. High level of discretion and confidentiality when working with executive-level information. Proficient in MS Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to travel internationally and domestically (~20%).
