OUR CLIENT TalentSphere have partnered with a leading consulting firm that is very well established across North America.We're on the hunt for a dynamic and driven Intermediate Structural Engineer to join this talented team! In this role, you'll collaborate closely with fellow engineers to craft innovative design solutions that bring building projects to life—balancing creativity, functionality, and budget. This firm have an impressive portfolio of building projects across multiple sectors and have a strong reputation for their excellent service delivery.
THE ROLE With your keen eye for detail and technical expertise, you'll ensure designs are not only efficient but also meet aesthetic goals and adhere to building codes. You'll work alongside a diverse group of professionals, coordinating efforts across all project phases, and applying your knowledge of engineering systems, materials, and construction technologies to make every project a success.
- Design and integrate structural components for buildings, collaborating with architects and ensuring full compliance with relevant codes and jurisdictional requirements.
- Dive into engineering challenges, creating precise drawings and blueprints that support construction projects from start to finish.
- Work with calculations and code research to material and system analysis, all while giving input to layout planning and space computations.
- Assess and document site conditions, including zoning laws and project constraints, conducting thorough field reviews and site surveys to capture both current and future construction realities.
- Transform technical information into clear, comprehensive engineering specifications for Project Manuals, making sure everyone stays on the same page.
- Review and analyze project drawings, services, and shop details to ensure everything aligns with the project vision, industry standards, and quality control protocols.
WHAT'S REQUIRED - A minimum of 4+ years of industry experience working in structural engineering
- A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Structural/Civil or related
- Proficiency in top-tier engineering software like AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design tools.
- Expertise in building structural systems across a variety of project types is preferred
- A strong understanding of design principles and building code requirements.
- Active registration with a professional engineering association is preferred, or working towards it
- Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
