We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated HR Generalist to support and enhance our people operations as we continue to expand.

Position Summary:

The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance, enhancing employee experience, and contributing to a strong and supportive workplace culture. This role reports directly to the COO and works closely with department heads and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and employee relations matters
  • Administer benefits, leave programs, and maintain accurate employee records
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support performance management processes, including reviews and coaching documentation
  • Coordinate firmwide training initiatives and compliance certifications
  • Participate in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Process employee changes and payroll-related updates using Paychex
  • Assist leadership with strategic HR projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant years of HR experience may be considered in place of a formal degree
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a professional services or law firm setting
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law (NY preferred) and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paychex required
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $65,000–$75,000 , based on experience
