Shift: 230pm - 1030pm

Full Time

Forklift Operator

Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations using a combination of Sit Down Forklift, manual pallet jack or Electric Pallet Truck. Efficiently stack and store customer product in the appropriate area. Dealing with Lumber products of various materials and sizes.

Job Duties :

Primary Duties:

• Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped using a combination of Sit Down Forklift, manual pallet jack or Electric Pallet Truck.
• Manual Loading or unloading of product by hand when necessary.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers or rail cars using a combination of Stand Up Forklift and Sit Down Forklift.
• Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a Forklift, Electric Pallet Truck, or other power equipment.
• Notify Warehouse Management if maintenance is needed on all equipment before operation.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Assist in physical inventories when necessary.
• Cleans warehouse area and performs routine housekeeping.
• Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Related experience
• Forklift training and testing may be required
• Ability to work overtime as needed

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple step instructions
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to pay attention to surroundings
• Basic math skills
• Positive Attitude

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and can be exposed to climates consistent with outside weather conditions .
