Core Technical Skills (The "Must‑Haves"): HTML for Email, CSS for Email, templating languages (Apache FreeMarker, Handlebars.js, Jinja, etc.), responsive & mobile‑first design, Git, email‑specific knowledge & best practices. Email‑Specific Knowledge & Best Practices: Email client rendering, accessibility (A11y), dark mode optimization, image optimization, deliverability awareness. Platform & Tool Proficiency: ESPs/Marketing Automation Platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Braze, etc.), testing & QA tools (Litmus, Email on Acid), development workflow automation (npm, Gulp), and data handling (CSV, JSON, loops). Qualifications 1+ year(s) of experience and relevant education. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or expertise in one or more programming languages with hands‑on experience designing and building software applications. Degree or experience in computer science preferred.
