What Makes This Role Different:

In our upper elementary program, you’re never teaching alone. Every classroom is led by two educators, either two credentialed teachers or a lead teacher and a full-time associate on the path to certification. We plan together, teach together, troubleshoot together, and celebrate the wins together. It’s collaborative, intentional, and built to support both student and teacher growth.

This is a classroom for someone who believes in academic rigor and joyful learning. Someone who knows that structure and kindness are not opposites. Someone who is ready to co-create a space where students feel safe to stretch, stumble, and soar.

What You'll Be Doing (with your teaching partner + grade-level team by your side):

• Co-plan and co-teach dynamic, standards-based lessons across all subjects: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
• Design engaging projects that help students make connections and think critically
• Differentiate instruction and support a wide range of learners
• Build a classroom culture rooted in respect, curiosity, and community
• Partner with families to support student growth
• Infuse the day with humor, purpose, and flexibility

Who You Are:

• An experienced credentialed educator (4th–6th grade preferred)
• A believer in high expectations, purposeful learning, and the idea that kids will rise to expectations
• Comfortable sharing space, ideas, and ownership with a co-teacher
• Equally passionate about academic rigor and social emotional growth
• Skilled at balancing planning with presence, and flexibility with follow-through
• Eager to grow, reflect, and laugh with a team that genuinely enjoys one another
