Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily work assignments across all three shifts, seven days a week, ensuring consistent electrical coverage and responsiveness.
• Schedule and oversee crew training , maintaining up-to-date certifications and safety protocols aligned with union standards.
• Manage Electric Shop inventory , including spare parts for consumables and rebuilt components, to support uninterrupted operations.
• Cross-train electrical crews to build proficiency across multiple areas of the plant, enhancing flexibility and reducing downtime.
• Coordinate overhead crane inspections and repairs , ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all electrical repairs and upgrades, enabling traceability and audit readiness.
• Train crews on new equipment , ensuring readiness to maintain and troubleshoot advanced systems used in metal tubing production.
• Develop electrical plans and budgets to support modernization efforts and eliminate obsolete equipment.
• Eliminate temporary wiring by implementing permanent, code-compliant solutions that improve safety and reliability.
• Coordinate infrared (IR) testing, motor testing, and preventive maintenance (PM) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure PM work is completed timely , with findings acted upon and schedules adjusted to minimize operational impact.
• Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure crews work safely and consistently across shifts.
• Track electrical delays across all areas , analyze root causes, and develop strategic plans to reduce future occurrences.
• Support high-voltage and control systems critical to metal forming, annealing, and cutting operations.
• Collaborate with mechanical and production teams to align electrical work with tube mill schedules and minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure compliance with union labor agreements , coordinating work assignments and training in accordance with negotiated terms.
• Monitor and maintain PLCs, drives, and automation systems that control tube shaping and finishing processes.
• Lead troubleshooting during mill downtime , providing rapid diagnostics and repair to restore operations efficiently.
• Champion energy efficiency initiatives , identifying opportunities to reduce electrical consumption in high-load equipment.
