Job Title: Electrical Superintendent
Location: Lorton, VA
Salary: $100,000 annually (based on experience)
About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial electrical projects in the Lorton, VA area. This position is responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex electrical systems across a wide range of project types, including:
- Hospitals, Clinics, Laboratories, Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy, and Diagnostic Centers
- Heavy-up and Service Upgrades
- Design-Build Projects
- Ground-Up Construction (new service, transformers, power conduits, and site lighting)
- Generator Installations
- Retail and Restaurants
- Industrial Warehouse Spaces
- Small to Multi-Floor Tenant Fit-Outs and Renovations
- Government, Military, and Secure Facilities
- Lighting Retrofits and Upgrades
- Big Box Retail
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of on-site electrical construction activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage and mentor field personnel, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project progress and resolve any field challenges.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents.
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Foster a team-oriented environment built on accountability, communication, and safety.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Strong leadership presence with proven administrative and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple crews and manage large-scale commercial projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of commercial electrical experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and industry codes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
