We are seeking a Director of Landscape Architecture and Planning to support our team at FieldTurf , a world leader in artificial turf with over 25,000 installations worldwide. The Director of Landscape Architecture and Planning will be working remotely and onsite at various locations, reporting to the Director of Design and Construction.

The Director of Landscape Architecture and Planning will drive the strategic vision, design excellence, and execution of landscape architecture projects across the New England region. This leader will oversee multidisciplinary planning initiatives, guide design teams, and ensure projects meet both performance and sustainability standards. The role requires a balance of creative design expertise, technical proficiency, and strong leadership skills to deliver world-class athletic facilities.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the landscape architecture and planning function for the New England territory, overseeing design strategy, execution, and team development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, manufacturing, and installation teams to integrate Tarkett Sports systems seamlessly into landscape designs.
  • Oversee site planning, grading, drainage, planting design, and hardscape integration for athletic facility projects.
  • Manage client relationships, presentations, and approval processes to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and zoning requirements.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, templates, and best practices for sports facility applications.
  • Mentor and supervise landscape architects, planners, and design staff.
  • Coordinate effectively with external consultants, engineers, and contractors.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure projects are executed on time and within scope.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or related field.
  • Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) licensure preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in landscape architecture and planning, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrating artificial turf systems into landscape and site designs.
  • Strong knowledge of site planning, grading, irrigation, and sustainable design practices.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in design and planning software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, GIS, etc.).
