Position Title: Community Advocate Coordinator, United for Families
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $24.32/hr.

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected hourly pay rate for this position is $24.32 ($50,585.60 annualized). In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.
How You'll Help
Mile High United Way's United for Families (UFF) is part of MHUW's United Neighborhoods (UN) collective impact strategy. The UFF program combines community-based efforts and collaborative partnerships to advance outcomes for young children (0-5) and their families and caregivers. The United for Families Home Visitor/Community Advocate actively engages, builds rapport, and establishes a trusting relationship with community members with a focus on early childhood education; provides community members with referrals to local community services; and establishes relationships and partnerships with nonprofit service providers by participating in local community engagement activities with local agencies. The Home Visitor/Community Advocate will be responsible in providing evidence-based in-home (or virtual) parenting education services utilizing the Home Instruction for the Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) curriculum primarily to families with young children within specific neighborhoods in Aurora, Colorado, and possibly other Denver-Metro communities.

Working Environment: 25% of the time is typical office environment, 75% of time traveling to local offsite meetings depending on the time of year (when schools are in session).
