Position details POSITION TITLE: CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT Department: Nursing Reports to: Director of Nurses FLSA: Non-exempt Weekly schedule AM 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (4-2 schedule) PM 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (4-2 schedule) NOC 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (4-2 schedule) Rotating weekends; Weekend availability Responsibilities/Accountabilities Provides patient care in a manner conducive to safety and comfort (ADL support, monitor vital signs, basic nursing tasks as directed). Assists with ambulation, transfers, feeding, hydration, and activities of daily living. Records vital signs, weights, and input/output per policy; participates in care planning and care delivery under supervision of licensed staff. Assists with treatments and procedures as needed; collaborates with healthcare team; promotes safety and confidentiality. Maintains clean and organized patient areas; assists with inventories and transport of patients as required. Qualifications/Requirements Current California Certified Nursing Assistant Certification Current BCLS certification No prior CNA experience required. New grads welcome. Knowledge of basic medical asepsis and standard precautions; ability to read and interpret safety and procedure manuals Ability to work rotating shifts and different units; patient-centered approach English language: able to read, speak, and understand Mathematical skills: basic arithmetic in all units of measure Successful completion of a state-approved CNA program High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to pass required health screenings (e.g., TST per state law) and maintain certification through continuing education Basic computer skills or willingness to learn Performs related duties Interacts with patients, families, and center staff; performs additional tasks as needed to support care delivery Education/Vocational requirements Successful completion of a state-approved certified nursing assistant program Minimum high school education or high school equivalency preferred Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English to ensure safety and wellbeing Proof of TST as required by state law; onsite administration if required Basic computer knowledge or willingness to learn Minimum 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification Location and related Long term care / nursing home / rehabilitation center environment Note: The listing includes additional job postings and location data for related CNA roles elsewhere; This content is not part of the core Tampico Healthcare Center CNA job posting. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tampico Healthcare Center
