This position is responsible for tasks supporting the procurement of information technology hardware, software, and support systems for BITS and across division boundaries. The role includes supporting IT acquisition decision-making and negotiations, coordinating, monitoring, and leading procurement and license tracking and compliance for IT acquisitions. Additionally, the position maintains the BITS hardware and software licensing inventory and leads the annual review, maintenance, and compliance process. Hardware/Software: Provides acquisition support for hardware, software, and maintenance in the technical environment (servers and desktops) and application development environment. Additional Comments: This role involves interaction with BITS management and staff, division customers, and external entities such as other state agencies and vendors. Effective communication with diverse customer knowledge levels and the ability to manage multiple assignments within deadlines are essential. Must Have: Change Management Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation Analytical/problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail Information Technology expertise Experience developing and managing annual IT budgets Experience conducting product research related to IT acquisitions Leading or participating in feasibility studies for business process improvements Preparing IT hardware and software bids Reviewing and developing manual or electronic process flows Reviewing IT hardware & software contracts, especially related to IT language Completing IT hardware, software, and maintenance acquisitions (purchases and renewals) Collaborating with vendors on IT acquisitions and licensing Proficiency in Excel and MS Office products (Outlook, Word, MS Office 2010/O365) Documenting requirements, requirements analysis, and gathering Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Research, Analyst, and Information Technology Referrals can increase your chances of interviewing at CapB InfoteK by 2x.
