About the Company

A highly regarded law firm in Uniondale, NY seeks a highly qualified and experienced Bankruptcy attorney to join the law firm's Bankruptcy's Practice. The attorney must be admitted to the Bar in New York. The department is very collegial and the law firm is a great place to work at.

About the Role

The attorney should have 5-10 years of bankruptcy experience and Chapter 7 & Chapter 11 experience. Litigation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join the law firm's Bankruptcy's Practice.
• Handle bankruptcy cases with a focus on Chapter 11 & Chapter 7
• Participate in litigation as needed.
• Must be admitted to the NY Bar.
• Representing businesses and trustees in Chapter 11 restructuring & Chapter 7 liquidating proceedings with a focus on asset recovery & sales avoidance actions & general litigation

Qualifications

• Required license or certification: NY State Bar Admission (in good standing).
• New York bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly) required.

Required Skills

• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Comparable law firm experience.
• Good tenure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Bankruptcy and Litigation experience.
• A following is a plus though not necessary.
